Quebec City, QC
With the highest vertical east of the Canadian Rockies, it’s no wonder why they call this place massive.
Standing 770 metres at the summit, visitors are instantly greeted by scenic views of the St. Lawrence river. The resort’s 52 trails provide a great mix of challenging terrain, making it a must-visit for adrenaline seekers.
Add in an average snowfall of 645 cm, and you can rest assure there’s plenty of fresh tracks to go around on a pow day.
In addition to downhill skiing, Le Massif offers guided backcountry tours. Guests can even sign up for a 20 km or 40 km helicopter tour, go for a spin down the 7.5 km sled run on Mont Liguori, or explore a 35 km network of trails by hiking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.
During the summer months, the folks at Whisjack (who run Le Massif’s backcountry tours) offer guided bike, paddle and run adventures. You can choose from discovery, sport, enduro, ultra or personalized day packages. Or, if you’re more of a free spirit, set sail on the 58 km bike and motorcycle trail along the St. Lawrence.
